The Best Green Smoothie

What better first recipe post than my FAVORITE smoothie?? I have been drinking this smoothie every day for 2 weeks and it is not getting old. I tried a different smoothie two days ago and tossed it out, then made myself this one again. Here is what I put in my blender (in this order):
  • 1 rib Celery (chopped)
  • 1/2 Red Bell Pepper (quartered)
  • 1 Green Apple (cored and quartered)
  • 1 Tomato (or even 1/2 can diced tomatoes)
  • 1-2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 Tbsp chopped Red Onion
  • 1 Tbsp Chlorella (I use Nature's way pictured below)
  • 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice (or more)
  • 20 drops Trace Minerals
  • 1 heaping Tbsp Ground Flaxseed
  • 1 Tbsp Laird Superfood Jumpstart (pictured below)
  • 1-2 cups water or green tea (cooled)
  • 1-2 cups spinach or kale (as much as my blender will fit)
  • 1/2 cup frozen broccoli (to pack down greens)
I think that I got everything... It really is the best green smoothie you will ever taste. Try it and make it yours today! For a reference of what I buy organic versus conventional go here.

Nutrition Notes: 230 Calories, 5g Protein, 3g Fat, 44g Carbohydrates (12g Fiber, 20g Sugar), 525mg Potassium, More than the DV% Vitamin A &C, Fair amount of Calcium, and 9mg Iron!
